1. General Requirements
(1) Applicants must possess a high school diploma or above.
(2) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health and possess a valid foreign passport.
(3) Applicants under the age of 18 at the time of application must submit relevant supporting documents at the time of application and registration.
2. Requirements on Nationality
According to the provisions of Notice by the Ministry of Education of Regulating Admission of International Students in China's Higher Education Institutions:
(1) A person who has acquired a foreign nationality at birth, both of whose parents are Chinese citizens and have settled abroad or either of whose parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled abroad, and is applying as an international student must present a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate attained before April 30th, 2019, along with proof of residence abroad of at least 2 years between April 30th, 2019 and April 30th, 2023 (9 months of residence abroad per year may be considered as one year,subjected to the entry and exit seal).
(2) Residents of Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and acquired foreign nationality, and are applying as international students must present a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate attained before April 30th, 2019, and proof of the renunciation of Chinese nationality, along with proof of residence abroad of at least 2 years between April 30th, 2019 and April 30th, 2023 (9 months of residence abroad per year may be considered as one year, subjected to the entry and exit seal).
3. Language Proficiency Requirements
Chinese-taught Programs
(1) HSK Level 4 (210 points or above).
(2) The only exemption from the Chinese proficiency test requirement is for applicants who have obtained their highest degree in an institution where the primary language of instruction is Chinese. The official proof must be submitted.

You will need to pay 3,500 RMB as a deposit to the university before you can get admission letter, and usually it will be used as part of the tuition fee.

Applicants must submit the certificate of No Criminal Record within the valid period issued by the local Public Security Bureau. Generally, it should be valid within 6 months before the date of submitting the application.
3. Applicants mentioned in the Notice by the Ministry of Education of Regulating Admission of International Students in China's Higher Education Institutions must submit the required documents
1) Residents of Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying as international students should submit:
(a) A certificate of annulment of Chinese citizenship.
(b) A certificate of annulment of Chinese Household Registration.
(c) A certificate to prove foreign nationality.
(d) The exit and entry records on applicants’ passports (period from April 30th, 2019to April 30th, 2023).
(2) A person who has acquired a foreign nationality at birth, both of whose parents are Chinese citizens and have settled abroad or either of whose parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled abroad, and is applying as an international student should submit the following materials:
(a) A certificate to prove that the applicant obtained foreign nationality at birth.
(b) A certificate of permanent residence of the applicant’s parents (Chinese citizens) in a foreign country before the applicant’s birth, and the passport biographic page or I.D. card of the applicant’s parents (Chinese citizens).
(c) The exit and entry records on applicants’ passports (period from April 30th, 2019 to April 30th, 2023).*4. The biographic page of the applicant’s passport (personal ordinary passport must be valid until at least October 31st, 2023).

*6. Foreigner Physical Examination Form
The physical examinations must be fully filled in. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, and the official stamp of the hospital, and a stamped photograph will not be considered. Ensure your physical examination remains valid during your application time as the result is valid for only 6 months.

Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
*8. The high school diploma or equivalent or pre-graduation certification.
If the applicant has not received the high school diploma or equivalent yet, a pre-graduation certification should be presented to affirm the applicant will graduate soon (the official seal of the school must be affixed).
Note: Applicants who apply using a pre-graduation certificate must state their expected graduation time and must obtain a graduation certificate before enrolling in September 2023.*9. HSK Certificate
*10. A letter of motivation in Chinese or English.
Applicants applying for Chinese-taught programs should write in Chinese, and applicants applying for English-taught programs should write in English.

(1) Statement of Financial Support through a Guarantor, which should be filled in in Chinese or English;

(2) Bank Statement certifying that the applicant has sufficient funds to cover his or her tuition, accommodation, living expenses and international travels during his or her study in China;
(3) The scanned copies of the passport biographic page or I.D. card of the applicant’s financial guarantor (only the applicant himself/herself or his/her direct family can act as a financial guarantor).12. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
